  1. General Description

The Plot
This is a roughly rectangular shaped plot characterised by sandy soils.
The boundaries are marked by rendered whitewashed natural stone walling or building lines. Entrance to the rear is via a metal gate opening onto a cabro paved parking area with about capacity of approximately 55 cars
Improvements
The main hotel blocks front and a newly constructed block to the rear comprising hotel rooms and administration offices. Others include the generator/ transformer room.

Construction

  1. The hotel blocks

The main structure is in reinforced concrete framework of columns and beams in filled with stonewalling beneath a flat reinforced concrete slab roof. The walls are externally rendered and colour-washed while internally, they are plastered and painted or lined with ceramic tiles mainly to wet areas. The floors are mainly finished ceramic, marble tiles save for some sections with terrazzo, parquetry, PVC. Windows are glazed metal/PVC casement, sliding aluminium casements or louvered type. Ceilings are plastered and painted throughout part in false cellotex panels. External door are glazed wood casement type while internal ones are timber panel, metal type.
The roof top hall has walls in aluminium casements and IT4/ GCI sheets roof

  1. General Comments

This is a hotel establishment located within Mombasa’s City Centre. The hotel has a total capacity of 68 hotel rooms combining Standard rooms and Deluxe. The hotel also accommodates five conference facilities, a Chinese restaurant and a casino. The Chinese restaurant and casino are separately managed.
