Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Your volunteer journey begins with your arrival in Kenya, where our team will
welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your comfortable accommodation in Diani. After
settling in, you’ll have time to rest and prepare for the exciting days ahead.
Day 2: Orientation – The day serves as your comprehensive orientation, where you’ll receive an
introduction to the local culture, school system, and teaching guidelines. You’ll meet fellow
volunteers and our local staff who will support you throughout your stay. The day concludes with a
welcome dinner and brief on what to expect in the coming weeks.
Days 3-14: Volunteering – During these twelve days, you’ll be fully immersed in teaching activities at
a local school. Each weekday morning, you’ll engage with students in classroom settings, sharing
your knowledge while assisting local teachers. Afternoons will be dedicated to lesson planning and
participating in cultural activities that deepen your understanding of Kenyan coastal life. As you
progress through your volunteering period, you’ll develop greater confidence and familiarity with
the school and students, gradually taking on more responsibility in the classroom. You might
introduce special projects or activities based on your personal skills and the needs of your students.
Weekends offer a more relaxed schedule, giving you free time to explore the pristine beaches of
Diani and its surrounding attractions. You might choose to relax on the white sands, take a boat trip
to the coral reef, visit a nearby wildlife sanctuary, or explore local markets. Throughout your
volunteer experience, you’ll witness the impact of your contributions as students progress in their
learning and form meaningful connections with the local community.
Day 15: Farewell Day – This special day marks your farewell ceremony where you’ll receive
recognition for your contributions and a certificate of completion. You’ll have the opportunity to say
goodbye to the students and staff you’ve worked with over the past two weeks. The day typically
includes a small celebration with cultural performances and sharing of memories and experiences.
Day 16: Departure – On your final day, we’ll arrange your transfer back to the airport for your
