African Pro-poor Tourism Development Centre – Making Tourism work for Communities
The right to education is not only about accessing education, it also comprises of having good and conducive learning environments. Education should be available, acceptable and adaptable. The lack of important facilities such as functional classrooms, laboratories and libraries usually undermines the capacities of educators to deliver quality education.
In this program, we work with schools to construct classrooms in order to allow the students to receive quality education in conducive environments. This include but not limited to erecting roofs, building concrete walled classrooms, repairing floors, constructing laboratories, constructing dormitories, purchasing desks and chairs for schools.
The Objectives are:
1. To provide quality education to Kenyan students in alignment with Kenya Vision 2030.
2. To rehabilitate classrooms and general school facilities in alignment with Kenya Vision 2030.
3. To improve the learning environment of Kenyan students by making it conducive for academic excellence by 2030
