HIV & STI Infection Prevention and Control Amongst Youths In Tourist Hot Spots

The project will support young people aged 15-24 years of age on understanding HIV and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Effects at individual and Societal level, Preventive measures and behaviour changes that will reduce the incidence amongst youths. The project will have interventions both at outschool and inschool levels, enhancing the reach to youths both inschool and out of school. This project will not only reduce cases on new HIV and STI infections amongst youths, but also contribute to the reduction of teenage pregnancies which is high in Kenya. Services such as access to dignity kits for girls, career development for youths, drug abuse management, treatment support, counseling, stress management and engagement into Income Generating Activities, among others are to be provided.

The project will be implemented in tourist and entertainment destinations in Kenya.
