Project Problem:
1. Forest Encroachment and Degradation by local communities living adjacent to forests.
2. Over dependance on forest resources by local communities as source of livelihood-Charcoal burning, firewood and timber.
3. High poverty levels of the local communities living adjacent to forests.
1. Awareness Creation on Forest Conservation.
2. Supporting Small-Scale Farmers on the Production of Hass Avocado Fruits as an alternative source of income.
1. To increase tree cover by planting 10,000 Hass Avocado fruit trees by year 2022.
2. To increase fruit production by 10% for the export market by year 2022.
3. To increase income for 500 local small scale farmers by year 2022.

The project was implemented in partnership with Fair Trade Enterprises Limited, a Kenyan company Commercial Exporter of fruit produce to the European Market.
1. 9,000 Hass Avocado fruit trees planted to maturity level.
2. 500 small scale local farmers supported with planting atleast 15 Hass avocado.
3. Reduced overdependance on forest resources for livelihood.
4. Increased production level of Hass Avocados for the Export Market by Fair Trade Enterprise.
5. Increased income for the small scale farmers, from sale of Hass Avocados to Fair Trade Enterprise Ltd.
